Furthermore, police identified the suspect as a 45-year-old father. However, he was fighting a bitter custody battle over his three-month-old daughter. The shooting occurred during a scheduled meeting to discuss custody arrangements. Fortunately, both the baby and her mother escaped physical harm.
Subsequently, the suspect fled the scene in a getaway car. However, police officers cornered and arrested him after a brief vehicle pursuit. Officers later found him dead in his cell from an apparent suicide.

UK Moves to Deport Rochdale Grooming Gang Leader
In addition, the United Kingdom government is pushing a major legal reform. Ministers plan to amend the historic Immigration Act of 1971. Specifically, this amendment will allow the immediate deportation of Shabir Ahmed, the ringleader of the notorious Rochdale grooming gang.
Previously, authorities released the 73-year-old criminal after he served 14 years of a 22-year prison sentence. However, Section 7 of the old immigration law protected him from deportation because he arrived in Britain before 1971.
Consequently, this legal loophole sparked severe public outrage.
“This outdated law protects dangerous criminals who commit horrific crimes,” declared MP Katie Lam during a parliamentary debate.
Therefore, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will present new legislation to close this gap permanently. Learn more about the UK deportation law Rochdale gang leader.
